Our founding story
In 2011, I attended Frontier Nursing University in Hyden, KY, where I developed a deep appreciation for the medical model of Nurse Practitioners serving rural and underserved communities. For the first four years of my career as an FNP, I worked for a rural hospital, though there is always a "push" to see more patients in less time in corporate medicine. After a year of contract work on the East Coast, I realized that the Midwest truly held my heart. From 2018 to 2022, I worked at Irwin Army Community Hospital and now serve at the VA in Junction City, providing medical care to veterans. However, I deeply miss providing care for families, which inspired me to create Frontier Medical Clinic LLC.
